We are so excited to have you join our community and partner with you to empower others in learning about Norwex.
You may be feeling nervous and excited right now!
This is totally normal.
Great news, we have simple steps to get you started
and help you earn your consultant starter kit & earn $350 in your first 30 days.
Carve out a few minutes each day to go through this onboarding & you'll be ready to host your first event in no time at all!
Excited to jump in but unsure where to start?
You're in the right place!
Whether your goal is to grab some Norwex for your home for a nice discount or make it big time into leadership, we're here to help you along your Norwex journey!
I put this site together to help you navigate being a new business owner one step at a time, in an order that makes sense (how I would've loved for it to be organized when I started)!
How to use this site:
When you see "Step:" that means it's an action step for you to do. This site is designed for you to learn something & immediately TAKE ACTION.
Don't just *consume* - Read, learn, take action, then come back and do the next step.
When you see "Tip Time" that means it's a little bonus (it's optional!) that I think may help if you're feeling stuck on a step :)
Getting Started
Step 1 - Let's get Organized:
Schedule an appointment with me 7-10 days from now! This is to check in, answer questions, and make sure you're on the right track!
Join our team Facebook Community Note: At the top of our Facebook community, the month's announcements/specials are always pinned to "featured" - Pencil in our office hours and team meetings to your calendar! Make an effort to attend this as often as you can!
Open your calendar and schedule FOUR - 20 minute "Norwex Work" times in your calendar over the next week! Get in the habit of scheduling your work time, not just hoping you'll "find" the time.
Check out the email sent to you from Norwex. Save your consultant ID number - you'll need it later!
Step 2 - Set your Goals!
Let's dig a little bit deeper about WHY you're here and what you're hoping to achieve with your Norwex business over the next 90 days. Why? When things get tough (they will!), this will be what helps you remember WHY you got started in the first place and keep you rolling towards achieving what you SAID you wanted to do.
Print out the "Why I Joined Norwex" image (or grab a piece of paper) & follow the prompts. The more specific you are, the more it will help you down the road.
It may take you a few minutes of jotting down thoughts to come up with why you joined Norwex. It could be for the products, or for the mission, or even just to make new friends. There is NO wrong answer here. Make it specific and make it personal. These do not need to be huge, profound, massive goals! This can be small, "I want to make $50 a month to have extra grocery money" goals.
No one else needs to see these goals if you don't want them to. If you'd like to share it with me, I'd love to hear your goals and why you decided to join. I'll also help keep you accountable!
Tip Time: Your brain is going to give you all sorts of excuses as to why you don't have time, you can't do this, you won't be able to figure it out... your brain is designed to keep you safe and doesn't care about your goals! Don't listen to it! YOU are capable and worthy of starting this. I believe in you!
It's a marathon, not a sprint... Start here, start today. You got this!
Feeling stuck? Unmotivated? Like you want to quit? It's totally normal. Check out this podcast for WHY our brain does this!
Step 3 - Strong Start Your Biz - Set your Launch Parties!
If you want to get on your way to earning your kit for free, the key is going to be to plan TWO launch parties!
Why 2? To capture those that can't go to your first one! Yes, even if you're hosting online, you're bound to have a family member on vacation the day of your launch.
Consider at least 1 digital and 1 in person event so you can practice & get comfortable with both!
This is where you tell your friends and family about Norwex and educate them on the products. This is your chance to
practice
get support from your closest friends/family and
get bookings on your calendar so you can get BEYOND your initial friends group and into more and more homes.
You can call this a workshop, a class... whatever you'd like!
Don't skip this step!! New consultants who hold a launch party are THREE TIMES more successful. Even if you are a "casual" consultant, this is the BEST way for you to earn free products for your home - and we have a script, images, videos already ready for you to do this!
Action Step ➡️ Pull out your calendar & choose 2 dates within the next 2 weeks to host your launch party. These parties are how you will earn those freebies we talked about before.
Step 4 - Make that Guest List:
Once you have your 2 dates set, grab a pen and paper plus your phone....
ACTION STEP: Set a timer for 10 minutes & write down anyone you can think of that you'd be willing to chat with! Don't worry if you don't think they'll come. Just write them down anyway.
We want to extend the invite to many different circles in your life. You have SO many people that are waiting to hear about Norwex.
Check out the BFF list for ideas! Try to think of 3 people for each category!
Use your phone contacts, Facebook and Instagram to help you come up with AS MANY NAMES AS POSSIBLE!
More people will come to mind after your initial list, so keep adding them along the way! (I keep mine digitally so I can update & organize often)
Step 5: Invite with purpose!
Action Step ➡️ Invite your guests by tailoring the invite to the individual person! Nothing will ever sound as authentic as your own voice and your relationship with that person. So when inviting people on your list to your workshop consider what they would love about Norwex, invite them with that in mind and talk about it in your invite to them.
Be prepared to hear the word "No". Expect it, know that NO isn't personal and hearing it is normal.
Here are some samples of what to say when you send invites
The art of INVITING!
Make it PERSONAL
Start your invite with a personal greeting! Something you have recently chatted about, saw on their FB, etc. If they mentioned they are looking to start fresh, save money, need more time, etc this is them saying they need/want help. Adjust ALL THE WORDING IN TEAL!
Then comes your sincere invite....
While cleaning might not be fun for you ... this workshop will be! No lie, you will thank me later. There is a Norwex workshop coming up and I think you would (be interested, love it, its screams you) because you appreciate (saving time with little ones, are both being more careful about what we bring into our homes, looking to cut harmful chemicals, love to clean, hate to clean, looking to save money, etc). Personally, it (saved time, money, health, made cleaning easy, simplified my cleaning routine, etc) and I wish someone had introduced me sooner.
IN HOME WORKSHOP:
While cleaning might not be fun for you ... this workshop will be! No lie, you will thank me later. The workshop is on (date) @ (time) for (length of time). While cleaning might not be fun... the workshop is! No lie, you will thank me later.
VIRTUAL WORKSHOP:
While cleaning might not be fun for you ... this workshop will be! No lie, you will thank me later. Can I send you an invite? (It’s on date & time) Will you be able to come?
Hence the question, "Can I send you an invite?" We want to build a relationship stemming from mutual respect.
Please recognize this. We aren't going to virtually kidnap people and throw them into a party without their permission! That's rude and weird. We would never do that in real life so we aren't going to do it virtually either. This is why the question is can I send you an invite. We want to build relationships beginning with mutual respect.
Step 5: Get Social... on SOCIAL Media!
Get social on social media! Let the world know you're OPEN FOR BUSINESS (you only get to be "new" once!)
Plus... You don't want to get invited to someone else's Norwex party because they didn't know that YOU are now a consultant!
Action Step ➡️Make a post about WHY you decided to become a Norwex consultant & invite your friends to your launch party! Do this on your feed, in your stories, or even in a video! Do this several times in your first few weeks (in addition to your regular posts) as your followers see only 5-7% of what you post!
Note: you may not get any comments on your first few posts about this - decide right now that it's NOT a problem!
Tip Time: Not sure what to post? Check out our upline's first 30 day social media challenge! HERE
Step 6: Practice makes Perfect!
Tell real life friends and family about Norwex! Bring your Envirocloth and a catalog with you everywhere! You never know who might need this solution.
Action Step ➡️ Ask 3-5 friends if you can practice your butter demo at their home! Think back to your BFF list & ask a handful of friends if you can swing by and clean their windows. Take some butter and use your damp enviro cloth and dry window cloth to clean that greasy mess you are going to make. Take some before and after photos too. Not only does this help you get comfortable talking about the basics it also gives you some great photos to show other people.
Step 7: Let's get ready to party!
How should I party?? Well, that's totally up to you! You're the CEO of your business so you can party any way that you'd like!
Everyone will prefer a different way to party! Depending on your personality, the personality of your host(s) and how much time you'd like to dedicate to your party will determine which format is the best.
My favorite 2 party formats (and those of most consultants) are the Facebook party and the in home party. Pick one that feels the most right to you & RUN with it!
Step 8: What to talk about in your party
KISS - Keep It Simple, Sugar!
4 things to include in your party
Personalized Welcome - Thank your host & share why you joined Norwex
Share the Products - Explain what makes Norwex microfiber better. Keep it simple! Share the Safe Haven 5 and Mop System
Booking & Team Building Seeds - Mention the benefits of hosting or becoming a consultant. Get them thinking about the endless possibilities.
Checkout - Personally check out your guests and ask if they'd like to host, if they want more information about becoming a consultant, and invite them to continue the fun in your VIP group.
Your Party Cards (included in your kit, or if you didn't get a kit, can be purchased as a personal supply order or can be downloaded here) are great to lean on to help you go through each step of the party!
Step 9: Dive into the resources for your party format
Step 10: RUN THE DANG PARTY!
Do it scared, do it imperfectly, but DO IT! YOU GOT THIS!
Your goal during your party is to BOOK MORE PARTIES so the fun can continue and so you can meet NEW people to introduce Norwex to! Learn about how to get bookings here.
Once you've accomplished that, head back to "home" and dive into whatever comes up next for you: follow up, back office training/how to input orders, growing your VIP group, and bookings!
Tip Time: Remember to keep learning and IMPLEMENTING as you go!!
